School Of Nursing


Fatima School of Nursing, Gorakhpur is owned and administered by the Catholic Diocese of Gorakhpur. The School offers a diploma course in General Nursing and Midwifery recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and U.P. State Medical Faculty, Lucknow. The duration of course is 3 % years. The medium of instruction is English.

• To provide quality professional education in nursing to the students adhering to the syllabus and curriculum laid down by INC and prepare them to be custodian of health in the community through clinical practice in the hospital.
• To empower the women of the focus area through nursing education and thus build health awareness in the society
• To make students aware of health issues and concerns of the area and sensitize the population regarding the health issues by periodic intervention among the community by the students.
• To build up the best practices in nursing Art by establishing good health seeking behavior
• To bring out the best in every student through nursing education, exchange programmes and participating in SNA and TNAI activities at regional, state and national level
• To provide opportunities to staff for in-service training and promote professionalism in nursing discipline
• To cultivate an aptitude for research in nursing and caring sciences among staff and students
